The 3 main design styles of exhibition halls

The personality of exhibition hall design can be broadly divided into three main styles: skilled design personality, artistic design personality and functional design personality. These three design styles stem from the differences in design elements and the different conceptual and intellectual structures of designers. However, these styles are not completely exclusive or opposing, but are to some extent the result of mutual integration.

1. Skilled design personality: Skilled design seeks modern industrial aesthetics and the application of technological achievements. In this design style, the designer absorbs and uses various new materials, new technologies, new means of information transmission and new appearance and design thinking. Display design is characterised by materials, structure, mechanics and industrial aesthetics. The combination of elements such as large screens, colourful equipment and music gives the impression of forward-thinking and technological power, demonstrating the powerful influence of modern technology. Skilled design personalities often downplay factors such as hand-made manufacturing processes and natural prop displays.

2. Artistic design personality: Artistic design pursues a design style that reflects the beauty of image and manner. It creates an artistic atmosphere through the combination of natural and artificial props, so that people can enjoy aesthetic pleasure. In this display design concept, focus on the use of various display techniques, such as props, lighting, colour and space, etc., to form a personalised artistic characteristics.

3. Functional design personality: functional design focuses on the basic functional design style of the display effect. It makes all the contents and methods of the exhibition to achieve the function as the starting point and ultimate goal, otherwise it is superfluous. In the functional design personality of display design, the focus is on the physical properties, sensations and functions of the displayed objects, such as appearance, colour, sound, three-dimensional impression, sense of volume, shape and function. These attributes will be on full display.

These are 3 main styles of showroom design. Each style has its own unique characteristics and design philosophy, and the appropriate design style can be chosen to achieve the best results according to the purpose and needs of the exhibition.
