In the world of Middle Eastern fragrance culture, there exists a long-established heritage brand—one that has captivated customers for decades with its unique formulations and luxurious aura. Its elegant storefront image and iconic scents hold a special place in the memories of local consumers. Yet as market competition intensified, even a brand with such legendary roots reached a pivotal moment of transformation. The products remained exceptional, the brand strength unwavering, and its achievements—once representing international brands and even serving as an Olympic supplier—stood unquestioned. But the long-standing traditional retail model could no longer keep pace with evolving expectations. Customer experience was no longer defined by products alone; it increasingly relied on space, atmosphere, and emotional value.
The brand realized that to regain momentum, a comprehensive upgrade of its commercial space was no longer optional—it was urgent. Traditional display methods could no longer express the brand’s uniqueness, nor could they deliver the visual impact or memorable shopping experience the modern market demands. The static and uniform environment limited the sensory depth of the fragrance testing experience, weakening the emotional connection that retail spaces must convey. Naturally, this made it difficult for the brand to break through its sales plateau.
At this critical moment, DG Display Showcase was invited to lead a full transformation—from spatial design to experiential reconstruction—for this Middle Eastern heritage fragrance house.
From the beginning, the client expressed clear expectations for the new store: to attract customers, to feel warm and elegant, to evoke ritual, to exhibit strong display power and storage capacity, to incorporate a VIP zone, and to create impactful product presentation. This was not a simple renovation—it was a “re-expression of the brand’s soul.” To achieve this, DG approached the project with rigorous methodology, reshaping the space layer by layer through brand aesthetics, spatial circulation, customer psychology, color strategy, and materiality—ultimately crafting a store that reflects the brand’s future identity.
Throughout the design phase, the window display became a major focus. The storefront is the brand’s “first-second dialogue” with customers—its ability to determine whether passersby step inside. DG transformed the static window into a story-driven display, integrating digital screens to create dynamic visual impact and ensuring the store stands out amid the surrounding retail environment.
Creating a warm, bright, and gentle atmosphere was another priority. Based on local aesthetic preferences, DG removed pure white entirely, replacing it with a soft beige tone. The brand’s original accent color—red—was elevated into a more refined shade of latte, allowing elegance to flow naturally throughout the space. Lighting color temperature was precisely controlled to ensure fragrance bottles refracted light in a soft, inviting way, giving the air itself a sense of scented movement.
As a chain brand with an extensive product system, the client required both high display capacity and substantial storage space—without compromising circulation comfort. DG redesigned the layout, integrating concealed storage within display structures to maintain a clean, minimalistic look while supporting large-volume inventory management.
The brand’s most iconic “refill station”—the core symbol of its fragrance culture DNA—also underwent a major transformation. DG created a high-reflective backdrop, allowing light to move between bottles and enhancing the ceremonial feel of fragrance blending. This turned the act of choosing a scent into a meaningful experience—customers were no longer simply purchasing perfume; they were participating in the creation of a personal scent.
To elevate premium customer interactions, DG designed an elegant semi-private VIP space. Rather than isolating guests completely, the area crafted a welcoming “enter-stay-converse” environment, where customers could explore brand stories, craftsmanship, and deeper olfactory conversations. This space significantly enhanced consultation quality and became a key driver of higher conversion rates.
All major zones were crafted with natural marble—a material the brand insisted on for its authenticity, and one that DG expertly applies in high-end retail environments. Its unique textures and tactile depth infused the store with a profound sense of luxury, allowing customers to feel the weight and sophistication of the brand the moment they walked in.
From design to production, shipping, and installation, DG maintained a highly transparent and rigorous international project-management process. Every material, every step, and every detail was communicated clearly, enabling the project to be completed in the shortest time frame with uncompromising precision.
On the very first day after installation, the client visited the newly completed store—standing in awe, as though seeing the future of their brand for the first time.
They remarked: “When customers walk in, it feels like entering a perfume sanctuary. Our brand finally has a spatial expression worthy of our products.”
This was not simply a compliment to DG—it was a rediscovery of the brand’s own values: exceptional products deserve an exceptional stage, and space is one of the most powerful languages a brand possesses.
When a heritage brand reaches a turning point, the goal is not to abandon the past, but to allow it to shine in a more elevated way. Today, this renewed fragrance store is no longer just a retail point—it is a memory, an experience, and a vessel of emotional value.
DG is honored to have been part of this journey. And in the future, we look forward to partnering with more brands—exploring how every commercial space can be crafted with its own soul and story.
