No cultural artifact can ever be recreated.
Many have survived centuries of wars, migrations, and the passage of time, yet they can still be permanently damaged by a single vibration, an act of vandalism, or even invisible pollutants released from unsuitable materials.
For museums, protecting cultural heritage is about far more than displaying collections. It requires creating a stable, secure environment where priceless artifacts can be preserved for generations. A museum showcase is therefore not simply a display case—it is an integrated preservation system that combines structural engineering, security technology, and environmental protection.
The French National Museum project demanded exceptionally high standards. One of the most critical requirements was seismic protection. Even under normal operation, buildings experience continuous micro-vibrations from visitor traffic, mechanical equipment, and environmental movement. In more extreme situations, seismic activity can pose an even greater threat to fragile collections. DG Display Showcase engineered a high-strength metal framework, paired with its independently developed U-shaped aluminum profile system and custom aluminum extrusions, to create a rigid yet highly stable structure capable of distributing external forces efficiently. Instead of allowing impacts to reach the artifacts, the showcase itself becomes the first line of defense—protecting irreplaceable collections through advanced structural engineering.
Security was equally essential. The project incorporates 6+0.76+6 mm laminated ultra-clear safety glass, designed not only to resist forced entry but also to remain bonded even if broken, preventing dangerous glass fragments from damaging valuable artifacts. Combined with a remote-controlled electric lift-opening system and museum-grade high-security locking mechanisms, the showcases provide outstanding resistance against forced and technical intrusion. Every opening is controlled, every closure is secured, giving museum professionals greater confidence in the long-term protection of their collections.
Perhaps the most overlooked challenge in museum conservation is one that cannot be seen at all—harmful gas emissions. Many artifacts deteriorate not because they are displayed, but because they are continuously exposed to formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), acidic gases, and other pollutants emitted by unsuitable construction materials. These invisible contaminants can slowly corrode metals, discolor textiles, weaken paper, and accelerate the aging of priceless collections. To address this challenge, DG carefully selects low-emission materials that meet stringent museum conservation requirements while optimizing structural craftsmanship to minimize harmful gas release. By creating a cleaner and more stable microenvironment inside every showcase, DG helps extend the lifespan of cultural treasures for decades to come. True museum-grade showcases do more than display history—they actively preserve it.
Delivering world-class protection also requires world-class execution. Once production was completed, DG coordinated international logistics and provided comprehensive on-site installation guidance. From pre-assembly and structural installation to equipment commissioning, functional testing, and final inspection, every stage followed standardized procedures to ensure each showcase performed exactly as designed. The museum opened on schedule, and the completed installation received high praise from both government authorities and museum leadership, demonstrating that exceptional preservation depends not only on engineering excellence but also on flawless project delivery.
For 27 years, DG Display Showcase has specialized in luxury jewelry showcases, museum display systems, and premium commercial interiors. Our mission has never been limited to creating beautiful displays. We engineer solutions that protect the world's most valuable collections through internationally advanced seismic resistance, anti-vandalism security, and low-emission conservation technologies. Because when it comes to preserving human civilization, every detail matters—and true craftsmanship is measured not by what people see, but by what remains protected for generations.
