Project Briefing and Building Overview: The Nanhai Agarwood Private Museum is located in a distinctive building in Nanhai City. Funded by an entrepreneur passionate about agarwood culture, the museum is a non-profit private institution. Its main exhibitions center around the culture of agarwood, encompassing its history, craftsmanship, artworks, and its use across various cultures. The museum is divided into five galleries, each showcasing different historical periods and regional elements of agarwood culture. Through the thoughtful design of display cases, the museum not only preserves and promotes this precious cultural heritage but also offers agarwood enthusiasts and cultural researchers a unique perspective. The display cases serve as guardians of the artifacts, representing a perfect fusion of cultural legacy and contemporary artistry.
Products we supplied: Museum upright showcase、Museum flat showcase、Museum hanging showcase、Museum built-in wall showcase.
Services we supplied: Design, production, transportation, and installation.

For the owner of the Nanhai Agarwood Private Museum, creating a high-standard cultural exhibition space dedicated to agarwood was never a simple task. Especially when it came to selecting museum display cases, as a non-professional, they faced numerous challenges: How to ensure each agarwood artwork is perfectly showcased? How to guarantee the safety and preservation of these precious artifacts? And how to seamlessly integrate display case design with the overall space and exhibition theme? These seemingly minor details, in fact, determine the museum’s overall quality and character.
After extensive research and comparison, the client ultimately chose DG Display Showcase to take full responsibility for this critical display project.
The Nanhai Agarwood Private Museum team lacked experience in museum display case design and procurement. Thus, before finalizing a supplier, they spent several months evaluating and screening candidates—carefully examining everything from company qualifications and past projects to factory facilities and client feedback. In the end, it was DG’s 26 years of deep expertise in the museum display field, professional design capabilities, and transparent production processes that won the client's trust and made us their exclusive display case partner.
Agarwood is an exceptionally rare natural organic material, formed over decades or even centuries, and is hailed as “the soft gold of plants.” However, agarwood is extremely sensitive to environmental changes—high humidity can cause mold and decay, while low humidity risks drying and cracking. Continuous UV exposure can dull its color and damage its inner structure, and fluctuations in temperature may cause expansion or contraction of the wood, affecting the fragrance's stable release. It is clear that for agarwood artifacts, the balance between “display” and “preservation” is a delicate art that demands both scientific precision and artisanal care.
Through multiple rounds of in-depth discussion with the Nanhai Agarwood Private Museum team, DG Display Showcase discovered that while the client placed great importance on artifact preservation, they lacked a clear and actionable implementation plan. To meet this challenge, we leveraged our 26 years of expertise to develop a custom agarwood display case system that integrates five core functions: intelligent temperature and humidity control, UV-free lighting, micro-positive pressure dustproofing, anti-shock absorption systems, and airtight magnetic sealing technology—ensuring comprehensive protection during the display process.
The intelligent climate control system accurately maintains humidity within a stable 50% ± 5% range, effectively simulating agarwood’s natural storage environment. UV-free LED lighting provides soft, artifact-safe illumination that avoids damaging wood fiber structures. High-transparency, explosion-proof glass offers both security and visibility, allowing the delicate textures and resinous luster of agarwood to be seen in vivid detail without visual intrusion. Notably, the magnetic seal structure combined with shock-absorbing padding enhances both airtightness and vibration resistance, while also simplifying future maintenance and artifact rotation.

During the initial mock-up experience, the client was amazed by the display case’s spring-like stable environment and the lighting’s ability to faithfully reveal the texture and sheen of the agarwood. They remarked, “These cases aren’t just display tools—they feel like tailor-made sanctuaries for agarwood.”
To ensure project quality, DG rigorously follows international quality standards such as ISO and TÜV. During production, clients can monitor material selection, craftsmanship, and assembly progress in real time, making the entire project visible, tangible, and traceable. During the factory inspection phase, the client expressed strong satisfaction with the craftsmanship and functionality of the display cases. For on-site installation, our expert technical team provided one-on-one guidance to ensure efficient and precise execution.
With the successful completion of the project, the display cases have now been officially put into use at the Nanhai Agarwood Private Museum. The exhibition hall features soft lighting, clearly visible artifacts, and an environment that consistently maintains optimal humidity. The space is serene and dignified. The client noted that the display cases not only enhanced the visual value of the agarwood pieces but also significantly improved the immersive experience for visitors.
Through this collaboration, DG Display Showcase delivered more than just a high-standard exhibition solution—we helped the client build an agarwood museum that harmoniously blends cultural atmosphere with exhibition excellence. This project stands not only as a successful case in display engineering, but also as a new milestone in our pursuit of fusing cultural preservation with high-end showcase innovation.
