Brand Story | DG Display Showcase

Jewelry, perfume, and museum display cases demand extremely high—sometimes almost unforgiving—standards. How does DG Display Showcase stay ahead of the industry in key technologies such as security, lighting, and climate control?

These fields allow no margin for error. Our approach has always been: relentless R&D investment + international benchmarking + continuous iteration.

1
Security & Anti-theft
We use multi-layer laminated tempered glass, patented intelligent security systems, concealed locking mechanisms, and alarm linkage systems. Some products have passed the highest-level European security certifications.
2
Lighting & Color Rendering
We have independently developed patented LED lighting systems with a color rendering index of Ra ≥ 95. Lighting parameters—such as color temperature and beam angle—are customized for different gemstones or perfume bottles to eliminate color distortion and glare, allowing products to appear naturally highlighted.
3
Temperature & Humidity Control
Integrated micro-environment control modules precisely maintain temperatures between 15–25°C and humidity at 40–60% RH. We use eco-friendly, formaldehyde-free materials to ensure that artifacts and high-end fragrances are never compromised. These technologies were not achieved overnight. They are the result of 27 years of repeated failures, refinements, and breakthroughs. We have built an international design and engineering team and reinvest a significant portion of our profits into R&D every year—so that every display case we produce can withstand the most demanding standards.

In your view, what is the fundamental difference between a "high-end display case" and an "ordinary display case"? Is it materials, design, or understanding the brand's soul?

All three matter, but the fundamental difference lies in understanding the brand's soul. An ordinary display case serves a basic function—holding products. It relies on standard materials, generic designs, and cost efficiency. A high-end display case, however, is a brand's silent ambassador. It must understand the brand's DNA, culture, and aesthetic, and then amplify its value through materials (imported ultra-clear glass, piano lacquer finishes, brushed brass), design (proportions, light, spatial flow), and details (lighting that enhances gemstones, micro-environments that protect artifacts).

We often say: materials and design can be copied, but deep brand understanding and the pursuit of perfection cannot. This is why many international luxury brands ultimately choose us—not because we sell display cases, but because we help them tell their brand story, silently yet powerfully.

During your collaborations with numerous high-end brands, what are the main 'pitfalls' they worry about most? How does DG Display Showcase address these concerns through its end-to-end service?

The main "pitfalls" brands worry about generally fall into three categories: unstable quality, delayed delivery, and lack of after-sales support. These concerns are especially amplified in cross-border collaborations, where communication barriers, differences in standards, and logistics risks can easily magnify uncertainty.

DG Display Showcase's end-to-end service is designed precisely to eliminate these pain points:

•Early stage: One-on-one in-depth communication, 3D renderings, and sample confirmation to eliminate any misunderstanding from the outset;

Mid stage: Fully visualized production tracking and our own international logistics system to ensure on-time delivery;

Post stage: Lifetime maintenance, a globally responsive after-sales team with a 24-hour hotline, and for selected projects, on-site installation and long-term inspection services.

By truly implementing the principle of "Whatever the client envisions, we do everything possible to realize it" at every stage, we earn long-term trust rather than short-term transactions.

more questions
1
Q: Why did you choose to enter the display showcase industry, and what was your original intention?
A: In 1998, my husband and I came to Guangzhou at different times, drawn by a city full of opportunities. We were both young then, carrying a simple belief: as long as there was an order, no matter how small, we would do it. At that time, the display showcase industry was far from mature. Most showcases were made on-site by hand, with serious homogenization and uneven quality. We noticed that many small orders were ignored or refused, so we started from a factory of less than 200 square meters, hired five workers, and officially began our entrepreneurial journey.

Our original intention was actually very simple — to make products well with our own hands, and to give customers peace of mind. We firmly believed that if we insist on quality, customers will return. This original intention of never rejecting small orders and never compromising on quality has accompanied us for 27 years

Q: Why did we choose, at a certain point, to cut back on some industries—such as bags and apparel displays—and focus instead on jewelry, perfume, and museum showcases?
A: In the early 2010s, after years of OEM production and experimentation across multiple categories, we came to a clear realization: spreading ourselves too thin was diluting our core strengths. Display cases for bags and apparel had become highly competitive and heavily price-driven, while we had always been committed to pursuing ultimate craftsmanship and uncompromising quality. This philosophy simply did not align with a market dominated by low prices and low standards.

So we chose to do "subtraction." We made a decisive shift to focus on three highly specialized fields—high-end jewelry, perfume, and museum displays—where requirements for craftsmanship, lighting precision, security, and constant temperature and humidity control are exceptionally demanding. This focus perfectly matched our craftsman spirit: every showcase should be a work of art. Only through this strategic focus were we able to concentrate all our resources on developing patented lighting systems, environmentally responsible materials, intelligent security solutions, and full compliance with international standards. This marked a true transformation—from being merely "Made in China" to becoming a name synonymous with quality.

Q: Can you share the process and key takeaways from your first collaboration with an international brand?
A: Our first truly meaningful collaboration with an international brand took place after the 2008 global financial crisis, when a European client approached us proactively. At the time, they were skeptical of Chinese suppliers. However, after seeing our samples and sensing our uncompromising attitude toward quality, they decided to place a trial order. The process was extremely challenging. Language barriers meant we attended exhibitions repeatedly with translators. We were unfamiliar with international standards, so samples were revised again and again—sometimes completely redone from scratch. Delivery timelines were strict, and we often worked late into the night. Cash flow pressure was enormous, but we held firmly to one belief: "Whatever the client needs, we will do everything possible to make it happen."

When the products were finally delivered, the feedback was excellent. The client even invited us to Europe to visit their luxury boutiques. This collaboration fundamentally changed us—it pushed us from a purely "China-focused mindset" to a truly global perspective. The greatest gain was confidence: we realized that Chinese manufacturing can stand on the world's high-end stage.

Q: Museum display cases involve cultural relic protection, where responsibility is paramount. In this specialized field, how does DG balance the two core demands of 'aesthetic presentation' and 'artifact safety'?
A: For museum display cases, the highest principle is "artifacts first, safety above all." Aesthetic presentation must always serve protection, never compete with it.

Our approach to balance lies in "technology, craftsmanship, and a sense of reverence": We employ technologies such as micro-environment temperature and humidity control systems, non-invasive installation methods, and UV-protection glass to ensure zero risk to artifacts; On the foundation of absolute safety, we use precise lighting, light-and-shadow design, and proportional aesthetics to bring artifacts "to life," maximizing the expression of their historical and artistic value; For every museum project, we treat each artifact as a national treasure—conducting repeated testing and never sacrificing safety for visual impact.

It is this reverence and sense of responsibility that has earned us the trust of multiple museums, and it continues to guide every display case we create.

Q: As a representative of Made in China, when DG competes internationally, what do you rely on—beyond price—to stand against long-established European showcase brands?
A: Price is only the entry ticket. Our real competitive strength lies in quality, service, value for money, and "China speed." European heritage brands are strong in historical legacy. We respond with 27 years of unwavering craftsmanship, an international design team, patented technologies, flexible customization, and fast, reliable delivery.

Our clients often tell us: "Your products are on par with European brands, but with faster lead times, more attentive service, and more reasonable pricing." Through DG, the world can see that Made in China stands for quality, reliability, and innovation.
6
Q: When global luxury brands think of Made in China showcases, what is the first label you hope they associate with DG?
A: I hope they think first of "Reliable Chinese Craftsmanship" or "A Partner of Ultimate Quality from China."

Not the cheapest option, but the most trustworthy one—the partner that truly understands high-end brands and elevates Made in China to an artisanal, museum-grade standard.

Q: With the rise of new retail and digital transformation, how do you see high-end display spaces evolving in the future? What forward-looking initiatives has DG Display Showcase undertaken in "smart showcases" or "eco-friendly materials"?
A: In the future, high-end display spaces will become more intelligent, experiential, and sustainable.

Lighting will intelligently adjust to customer flow, AR-enabled interactive displays will enhance engagement, environmental data will be monitored in real time, and zero-carbon, eco-friendly materials will become standard rather than optional.

DG Display Showcase has already begun strategic deployment in these areas:
•Smart showcases: We are developing integrated systems that combine AI-driven lighting, touch-based interaction, environmental sensors, and remote monitoring—allowing showcases to "breathe" and "interact" with both products and visitors.
•Eco-friendly materials: We are comprehensively transitioning to recyclable, low-carbon, formaldehyde-free materials. Some of our products have already obtained internationally recognized environmental certifications.
•Digital integration: Looking ahead, we will continue exploring deeper digital convergence to help brands create the next generation of immersive and sustainable display spaces.

Over 27 years, we have journeyed from survival to responsibility, from a small workshop to a trusted international choice.
In the future, we will continue to accompany more brands on their path to the world—with craftsmanship, sincerity, and warmth.
Because we firmly believe: when quality is upheld, trust will inevitably follow.
