The Ningbo Museum, also known as the Lazhou Museum, is also often referred to as the Ningbo History Museum. It is a comprehensive museum in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. The Ningbo Museum is co -organized by Ningbo City and Puzhou District.
It is located at No. 1000, Shounan Middle Road, Puzhou District. The museum was opened on December 5, 2008.
The museum is designed by Chinese architect and the first Chinese winner Syhh8 in the Pritzker Architecture Award. The architectural form is based on mountains, water, and oceans. The wall is decorated, and the characteristics of the Jiangnan dwellings are raised.
At the same time, it is surrounded by a pool near the building to represent the role of the ocean in Ningbo history. The museum has permanent exhibitions such as Ningbo History and Ningbo Folklore, and cooperates with other museums to open special exhibitions. In 2012, the Ningbo Museum was rated by the National Cultural Relics Agency as a national first -class museum.
At the same time, the Ningbo Museum is also a national 4A -level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base in Zhejiang Province.
